Terra Nil
Terra Nil is a fun yet challenging game tasking you to transform desolate landscapes into flourishing, harmonious ecosystems. In the game, your mission is to rejuvenate barren lands by purifying soil, restoring oceans, cultivating forests, and reintroducing fauna.
Terra Nil explores themes of nature repair and restoration and how these practices are essential to protect and sustain our unique natural environments.
Our presentation of Terra Nil complements the national debate around the critical need to safeguard and rejuvenate nature in areas where degradation risks irreversible damage. Governments at all levels recognise this imperative and Australia has pledged to uphold international agreements, committing to protect and restore 30% of our lands and waters by 2030.
QUT conducts world-class research in these topics through the QUT School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and the QUT School of Biology and Environmental Science, and much more throughout our research centres and faculties of Science, Engineering, Business and Law, Creative Industries, Education, and Social Justice.
The game is played on the touch screens using simple touch, drag, and zoom controls we’re all familiar with.
